in women’s sports.

Subria Whitaker is a Chicago-born and based sports business consultant. Her expertise focuses on brand communications and marketing, assisting women’s sports organizations, partner brands, and athletes with integrated marketing campaigns, brand development, public relations, and publicity. Subria Whitaker has spoken at numerous conferences and schools across the country, including the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Illinois State University. She has also facilitated a series diversity and inclusion educational workshops for several high school, collegiate, and professional sports organizations with RISE. Subria began her sports career in media, as a freelance writer for True Star Media before becoming a guest contributor with NBC Sports on Brother from Another, and Stadium. She earned her bachelor’s with distinction in Communications from Illinois and her master’s in Sports Administration, while also gaining internship experience with Fighting Illini Athletics, the Big Ten Network, the Chicago Bears, and the Atlanta Hawks. Through her Grow The Game initiative, she has worked with several WNBA, NWSL, and NCAA WBB teams to launch successful group nights, theme nights, and athlete marketing campaigns.
